A Tyroshi sellsword commands the freeriders of the Lannister host commanded by Ser Jaime Lannister during the early stage of the War of the Five Kings.

History

Tyrion learnt some Tyroshi tongue from a sellsword at Casterly Rock, who might or might not be this Tyroshi sellsword.[1]

Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

During the Battle of the Camps, the Tyroshi sellsword and the freeriders under his command dip their banners and defect to the Northern-Riverlands army led by Robb Stark.[2]

Behind the Scenes

GRRM admitted that he simply forgot about the Tyroshi sellsword in the following novels, though he stated the likeliness of Robb having kept most of the freeriders during his incursion into the Westerlands as well as the possibility of the Tyroshi, along with some other freeriders, deserting Robb to the plunder for themselves. He also mentioned that in A Storm of Swords there's a Tyroshi outlaw in the Riverlands - Greenbeard of the Brotherhood Without Banners - who may have been a deserter, though he wasn't sure if he deserted Jaime or Robb.[3]
