Just wanted to say thanks for helping out. For a while there it was only me and Scafloc. Thanks for the company! The Pale Griffin 14:34, 14 August 2011 (CDT)
Hi, I just noticed that you made all of our help pages, wanted to thank you and ask if you dont mind me adding few tips I encounter here there to what you are doing? Mor 02:59, 20 August 2011 (CDT)
Please use the Template:Copyright tags, when uploading files. It exist to provide a standardized Copyright information for all of our media files, if you feel that your text better represent the Copyright license, then please update the template so all our tag'ed files would benefit from it.
Also we have more than thousand media files and the number is only growing, which makes it dificult to mange them. for this, this template also helps us to orgnize the files, in this case it auto places the covers in Category:Cover Images, which allows you to review/update/pick from all the cover images we have without the need of going article by article, over all the file list or uploading duplicates.
And last is time, I doubt you write that license text each time all over but if you do this template makes it shorter and faster, otherwise its the same you just copy paste this instead of the previous one.
thanks Mor 13:23, 31 August 2011 (CDT)
Wow, I really have no Idea how you managed to wipe out that 27,213 article!? anyway, just wanted to drop by and say hi and thanks on all those follow up edits you have been doing on my edits fixing the little things I miss. Mor 18:28, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
my 2 cents are that Jon Snow/Theory about Lyanna Stark being his mother is relevant to both of them, so it seems to me that we should link her entry to this page. But, I recall you guys had some difference of opinion in regard to theory sections and not sure what was agreed upon, so I dont want to get in the way of that.
Hi ash, can you please try to avoid using the Revert function on other user edits, and use 'Undo revision' with edit summery instead. Because without an edit summery, there is no way to know what is your reason, which might be the better course of action or that you just hit the link by mistake... thanks, -- Mor 22:05, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Dornish coat of arms
Hi, saw that you replaced a number of Dornish coat of arms with new versions. I think the new versions are of a lesser quality (without the words, less bright). So I think we should revert to the old versions. But before doing changes like that let's discuss this on the forum. Scafloc 12:02, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
ASOS Chapter 20 reference in Rickard Karstark's article
Hi. I'm not sure why you reverted by change, but please note that there is an inconsistency in the previous notation. Catelyn's chapter is 20 (21 is Jaime's). The link works correctly, but claims to lead to Chapter 21 instead. LuisDantas 18:39, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
Following on the problem you mentioned, I made temporary adjustments to the main page(until I warp my head around other solutions) did it fixed the issue for you? --Mor 17:46, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
There is no need for the PNG file, I already uploaded the new version with the correct spelling, even thou it looks like the old one it's the right one. The problem is our crappy cache setting... I should ask Ran to try to flush it, since we accumulated quite few problems in recent time and it doesnt seem to updated on it's own, meanwhile I'll do the usual work around in a few seconds. Btw, please dont hesitate to leave me messages and/or reminders, I cant know that you work with mobile unless you tell me ;) --Mor 20:37, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Copyright Hedge Knight pictures
About the pictures from the Hedge Knight you recently uploaded: Amoka gave us permission to show work (non commercially) that he did no do for other companies. So that does not apply to the Hedge Knight pictures. The copyright of those pictures probably lies with the publishers, not with Amoka himself.
This does not have to mean that we cannot use the current collection you uploaded. I think all of those were pictures that were used on the cover of the Hedge Knight comics. If so we can make a case that showing these falls within the fair use license. The logic behind it is that showing the cover of a book is usually permitted and that it will not hurt the sales. So I think we should change the license. Also I think that where the picture is used in a character page we should fill in the image_caption parameter to acknowledge the copyright and perhaps add a link. Scafloc 18:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Regarding those new mini COA (File:MiniMaekar.png, File:MiniValarrTargaryen.png), do you want to create a new category for mini COA or those are just another version of the current ones? (I want to categorize them)--Mor 20:07, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
Link House Grell (en) to House Grell (also en)
I am not sure why you reverted my edit of House Grell. The interwiki link I removed is from the House Grell article on the English wiki to the House Grell article on the English wiki(!). As this is not possible clicking the link leads you to the wikipedia article of House Grell. This article does not exist... Scafloc 16:55, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- I Think he has unintentionally hit the rollback on his mobile, as sometimes some of us do, at least this what I assume as long as I dont see a summary info on revert of someone else edit. --Mor 18:43, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
I noticed that our citation templates create unnecessary spam, for example see reference 7 on Game of Thrones - Season 2:
Hibbard, James (April 19, 2011). "HBO renews 'Game of Thrones' for second season". Inside TV. http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/04/19/game-of-thrones-renewed/.
Hibbard, James (April 19, 2011). "HBO renews 'Game of Thrones' for second season". Inside TV.
Any thoughts why this happening? (p.s. I have updated few related templates to make them more readable, but I wont have time to look into them until next weak.) --Mor 05:38, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
It was CSS problem, Ran made the required update. --Mor 00:18, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
When placing a Location map in an infobox you can remove the caption thus avoiding the additional frame, Btw, I think that your use of 'Feudal Lord' fits better. Also thanks with the help with infobox and overall ;) --Mor 19:45, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
Characters from the Tv show only
What do you think about creating a category for Tv show only characters? --Mor 16:33, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
What do you think about adding a navbox, that will link all the night watch assets? Also any thought on how we can better link various characters? --Mor 00:18, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
Revisions to Cities template
I rolled back your changes to the Cities template for a number of reasons.
- You changed "Others" to "Other's" which is not grammatically correct.
- Port of Ibben is a city on the island Ibben, which is part of Essos.
- You removed pointers to cities including Basilisk Point and The Citadel.
- You were correct to move Yi Ti from Sothoros to Essos; I have retained that change.
I will have you blocked if you continue making changes to the Cities template or the Regions template.
It seems that you and User:Dkendr were going at little editing war, over the Template:Cities, from the history page I see this has been going back and forth for a while. We e want to avoid Edit warring, disagreements should be resolved through discussion, as a bare minimum you need to describe your position in the edit summary. I see Dkendr has tried to engage you in discussion on your talk page, you should continue in this recourse before making further changes to that template. --Mor 10:10, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Why did you place Aerys I (born c. 171) ahead of Daena (born c. 145), Elaena (born c. 150) who are a generation older than him? And Daemon Blackfyre (born c. 170) is his elder half-brother, not younger than him. --Dimadick 21:20, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
I am not sure why you keep on reverting my edits. I think it is usefull to add a link in the quote to whom Oberyn Martell is revering. "You" and "her" may not be clear to all who read it. Also you removed the references in your reverts. Can you instead of a revert choose for undo AND add why you have changed the article? Scafloc 13:46, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
Walder River's wife
Thanks, Ser Ash. I had missed that. What I've just done is to change "Lady Charlton" to "Charlton Bride" in the family tree, as we don't know that Bastard Walder married the lady of the house.--The hairy bear (Send me a raven) 12:34, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
"Little Monster" seems to be Val's name for the son of Craster and Gilly. Not for the son of Mance Rayder and Dalla. Should it be added as an alias for both children? --Dimadick 18:50, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
Hey. Just wanted to warn you I changed the Danny Flint and Brave Danny Flint pages. In chapter 58 of adwd, Jon asks Tormund if Mance Rayder ever sang Brave Danny Flint. Tormund says "Not as I recall". So Mance Rayder did not sing her song. And if he did, we don't know that.
