Ellaria Sand

Ellaria Sand is the paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell, and the mother of four his daughters, called 'the Sand Snakes.' In age order, her daughters are Elia, Obella, Dorea, and Loreza.

Ellaria herself is the natural daughter of Lord Harmen Uller, a nobleman of Dorne.

Biography

The paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell, she accompanied him to Kings Landing when Oberyn arrived to take the seat of the Small Council offered to Prince Doran, and was a guest at the wedding of Joffrey Lannister and Margaery Tyrell. She was also present at Tyrion Lannister's trial by combat, and witnessed Oberyn's brutal death.

Ellaria is referred to as worshiping a Lysene love goddess, and was also described by Prince Oberyn as being sexually adventurous and potentially bisexual.

Upon the death of Prince Oberyn, Ellaria escorted his remains back to Dorne. She was situated in the Water Gardens with her daughters by Prince Doran after the arrest of the eldest Sand Snakes, to prevent them being used in the plots of others.

Appearance

Although not accounted as a beautiful woman, she is regarded as attractive and eye-catching, with an exotic, sensuous flair.
