Ser Laenor Velaryon was a knight and was the first husband of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. He was a dragonrider whose dragon was Seasmoke.[1]
Appearance and Character
Laenor's appearance is unknown. Ser Criston Cole alluded that boys were not safe around him.[1] It was widely accepted that at the age of 19, Laenor had not shown any interest in women, instead preferring the company of men his own age.[2]
History
Laenor was the son of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen[3]. He was one year younger than his sister, Laena. During the Great Council of 101, some lords spoke for Laenor.
Ser Laenor and Princess Rhaenyra had three sons, Jacaerys Velaryon, Lucerys Velaryon and Joffrey Velaryon.
Ser Laenor died before the Dance of the Dragons began. None of Laenor's three sons survived the civil war.
