Lemore, also known as Lady Lemore, is a septa of the Faith of the Seven and the spiritual tutor for Young Griff.
Appearance and Character
Lemore is described as a handsome woman who is over forty years old. She has brown hair, and stretch marks on her belly from bearing a child. She has an outgoing, friendly personality. She is pleasant company, though she scolds those who blaspheme the gods.[3]
Lemore usually wears white septa's robes, cinched at the waist with a seven-colored woven belt, and a septa's crystal pendant around her neck. Her hair flows loose to her shoulders.[3]

A Dance with Dragons
Septa Lemore is a crewmember of the Shy Maid, and educates Young Griff about the Faith of the Seven. During the ship's journey, Tyrion Lannister, incognito as "Hugor Hill", assists Lemore in sewing the children's clothing provided by Illyrio Mopatis into a fool's motley to fit Hugor. Tyrion frequently enjoys watching Lemore bathing naked in the clean water of the river Rhoyne, which she does openly, without shame. As Lemore bathes, Tyrion notices stretch marks on her belly, which imply that she has given birth at some point; he concludes that Lemore was not always a septa, or at least not a chaste one. Tyrion is sexually attracted to Lemore, and enjoys teasing conversations with her.[3]
When the Shy Maid travels through the dangerous Sorrows, home of the stone men, Griff orders Young Griff to accompany Lemore to safety below deck, but the boy refuses. Lemore reminds him that the crew are sworn to protect him. Tyrion falls into the Rhoyne while defending Young Griff from an attack of the stone men,[4] and is rescued by Griff. Lemore revives Tyrion, forcing the water from his lungs, and then helps Haldon wash him with vinegar, thought to prevent the spread of greyscale.[5]
When the Shy Maid reaches Selhorys, Lemore changes out of her white septa's robes and disguises herself as a merchant's daughter, as the city's inhabitants primarily worship R'hllor, and a septa's robes would make people think of Westeros. She tells Young Griff he is not the only one who must hide. While Tyrion has deduced Griff and Young Griff's true identities, he cannot figure out who Lemore is or why she travels with the others.[5]
After Tyrion disappears in Selhorys, Griff decides to continue to Volon Therys, where he and the rest of the crew meet with the Golden Company. Griff, actually Lord Jon Connington, thinks of and addresses Lemore with the title "Lady". Though Lemore is displeased that he intends to reveal Young Griff as Aegon Targaryen to the Golden Company, Jon thinks he has grown fond of Lemore, but does not need her approval.[6]
Clad again in her septa's robes, Lemore accompanies Jon and Aegon to the Stormlands with the Golden Company.[7]
