The porcupine knight was not well loved by the commons.[1]
History
A knight of House Blount,[2] the "porcupine knight" attended the tourney at Harrenhal with his squire. His squire attacked Howland Reed with two other squires. The porcupine knight earned a place among the champions at the end of the first day of the tourney. After the masters of the two other knights whose squires took part in the attack were victorious the next monring, a mystery knight known as the Knight of the Laughing Tree challenged and defeated all three of the knights. The porcupine knight was the first of the three knights to fall. The commons cheered because he was not well loved, and the Knight of the Laughing Tree instructed him to teach his squire honor when he attempted to ransom his horse and armor.[1]
