Aemon Rivers is a knight and the only son of Ser Walder Rivers, the oldest of Lord Walder Frey's bastard sons.[1]
Character
[edit]According to his grandfather, Lord Walder, Aemon never has anything sensible to say.[6]
Like his father, Aemon also has a personal blazon, which combines a variant of the Frey sigil in reversed colors,[5] a popular form of heraldry among bastards,[7] with the standard sigil of House Charlton. The use of the standard Charlton arms suggests Aemon himself is trueborn,[5] although his grandfather dismisses him as a bastard son.[6]
Family
[edit]Aemon's mother is a member of House Charlton.[5] He has a daughter named Walda.[6] It is currently unknown if Aemon is married and thus Walda is a legitimate child, or if she is a bastard.
