Appearance and Character
[edit]Marei has green eyes and porcelain skin.[2] Tyrion Lannister describes her long straight hair as being silvery on one occasion[2] and pale white-gold on another.[3] Marei is older than Shae.[2]
The solemn Marei is literate.[2]
Recent Events

[edit]Tyrion Lannister notices Marei once or twice during his visits to Chataya's brothel.[2] Marei bets that Dancy, a fellow whore at Chataya's, can not convince Tyrion to come upstairs with her. If she had won, she would have received Dancy's black pearls.[2] Marei teaches some of the other prostitutes how to read.[2]
A Storm of Swords
[edit]After receiving his knighthood, Ser Bronn of the Blackwater visits Chataya's brothel and sleeps with Marei and Alayaya simultaneously.[4] Marei is suggested by Tyrion as a possible partner for Prince Oberyn Martell when he comes to the capital,[3] but the Red Viper sleeps with Alayaya instead.[5]
