A sickroom is a location where the ill or wounded can rest while attempting to recover.
History
[edit]Following the duel between Brandon Stark and Petyr Baelish, in which the latter was seriously injured, Edmure Tully tried to visit Petyr in Riverrun's sickroom, but was turned away because Petyr could not forgive him for having served as Brandon's squire.[1]
While Jon Arryn was dying from his sudden illness, his wife Lysa Tully prevented their young son Robert Arryn from visiting him in the sickroom.[2]

After he falls from the First Keep, Bran Stark is brought to the sickroom of Winterfell. Catelyn Stark stays by her son's side as Bran lies comatose.[3] A catspaw attempts to assassinate Bran, but the boy is saved by his direwolf.[4]
A Clash of Kings
[edit]The solar of Hoster Tully at Riverrun is used as his sickroom as his condition worsens.[5]
After the Battle of the Blackwater, the wounded Tyrion Lannister is treated by Maester Ballabar in a chamber over the Queen's Ballroom. Podrick Payne, Tyrion's squire, is reluctant to visit the sickroom.[6]
