Brienne of Tarth/Theories

There is speculation that Brienne is a descendent of Dunk.

  • Martin mentioned that A Feast for Crows would feature a descendent of Dunk.
  • In A Feast for Crows, Brienne is reminded of a shield she saw in her father’s armoury as a child that looked exactly like Dunk's. After that memory, she has her own shield painted over in the same colours.
  • Both are extremely large and strong.
