Maron Volmark is the Lord of Volmark and the head of House Volmark.[1]

Young Lord Volmark is beardless.[4] Victarion Greyjoy considers Maron to be callow.[4]

A Feast for Crows
Tarle the Thrice-Drowned claims that Maron, as heir to the "black line" of House Hoare, has the best claim to the Seastone Chair after the passing of King Balon IX Greyjoy.[5] Lord Volmark, however, is one of Victarion Greyjoy's supporters at the kingsmoot on Old Wyk.[1]
After Euron Greyjoy is chosen king, he commands the ironborn to attack the Shield Islands. During the feast celebrating the taking of the Shields, a hesitant Maron is named the new Lord of Greenshield by King Euron.[4]
