Alester Wynch was a nobleman from House Wynch during the Dance of the Dragons.[1]
Character
Alester was described as sly by Archmaester Gyldayn.[1]
History
After Lord Dalton Greyjoy was killed by his own salt wife Tess at Faircastle in 133 AC, the smallfolk and remaining knights of Fair Isle rose up in rebellion against the ironborn. Alongside Gunthor Goodbrother, Alester was one of the commanders of the Greyjoy garrison at Faircastle, composed of the Red Kraken's close companions and brothers-in-battle. While the ironborn fled the island or were otherwise murdered by its people, the garrison at Faircastle continued to stubbornly hold out, until a quarrel over one of the Red Kraken's salt widows, Lysa Farman, led to Gunthor slaying Alester.[1]
