Benfrey Frey is a knight of House Frey. He is the sixteenth son of Lord Walder Frey, the second by his sixth wife, Lady Bethany Rosby. Benfrey married his cousin, Jyanna Frey, with whom he has two children, Della and Osmund Frey.^[7]

Appearance

Benfrey resembles his younger sister Roslin.^[6] He is a younger knight^[8] and wears a quartered surcoat.^[6]

Recent Events

A Storm of Swords

When Lord Edmure Tully arrives at the Twins for his wedding, Benfrey is ordered by Lord Walder Frey to lead his sister Roslin into the hall. After Roslin and Edmure meet for the first time, Walder has Benfrey return his sister to her chambers.^[6]

During the Red Wedding, Benfrey grabs Dacey Mormont by the arm, but she smashes a flagon full of wine in his face and wrenches free.^[8]

A Feast for Crows

Benfrey has died of a wound he received at the wedding.^[9]
