Recent Events

A Storm of Swords

He offers to ferry Sandor Clegane, his horse and Arya Stark across the overflooded Trident at the prize of three golden dragons. Sandor, displeased with the high prize, threatens the man who accepts to be paid after the crossing. During the difficult voyage, the bent-backed man controls the rudder.[1] Once across, Sandor pays the man with the written promise of payment he received from Lord Beric Dondarrion which angers the ferryman and his crew.[1]

He later meets with members of the brotherhood without banners who are chasing Sandor.[2]
