Princess Daeryssa is a character in a song. According to the songs, she was once saved by Serwyn of the Mirror Shield from giants.[1]
Behind the Scenes
Given the typical High Valyrian spelling of Daeryssa's name, it is possible George R. R. Martin had intended for Daeryssa to be a Targaryen princess when he first introduced Serwyn as a member of the Kingsguard in A Game of Thrones.[2] However, The World of Ice & Fire revealed that Serwyn was actually a legendary hero from the Age of Heroes that singers claim to be a Kingsguard despite the fact that the institution was not created until 10 AC.[3] Daeryssa's historical status has not been mentioned.
