Fredo Rogare was a member of House Rogare, a Lysene noble banking family. He was the son of Lysandro Rogare, the First Magister of Lys.[1]

History

Fredo was the son of Lysandro Rogare. He had five trueborn brothers, Lysaro, Moredo, Lotho, Drako, and Roggerio, and three trueborn sisters, Larra, Lysara, and Marra as well as sixteen bastard siblings.[1]

After the death of his father, Lysandro "the Magnificent", Fredo inherited his pillow house, the Perfumed Garden. When the Rogare Bank ran dry in 135 AC, Lysaro Rogare's brothers and sisters claimed to have no part in it, but many doubted their claims of innocence, and Fredo was put on trial. The Perfumed Garden was seized, even as Fredo tried to sell it, and his slaves were sold. When that proved insufficient to pay more than a tenth of the debts, the Rogares themselves were sold as slaves, and Fredo's daughters were made bed slaves in the Perfumed Garden. It is written that Fredo availed himself of being able to whip his brother Lysaro when he was chained naked to a pillar before the Temple of Trade.[1]
