Jon Snow's cells are located in Hardin's Tower when he begins training with the Night's Watch.[1] After swearing his vows and becoming a steward, he moves to the Lord Commander's Tower to aid Jeor Mormont. After that tower is burned, however, Jon returns to his old cells in Hardin's Tower.[3]
A Storm of Swords

Jon, now Lord Commander of the Night's Watch after Jeor's death, moves into Donal Noye's rooms behind the armory.[6]
Hardin's Tower becomes the residence of nineteen wildling women and girls who accept Jon's call. Some of the men of the Night's Watch attempt to take advantage of the women there; although a dozen spearwives turn them away, the men hostilely refer to the building as "Harlot's Tower".[7] Jon has his own men guard the tower, and the giant Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun sleeps in its entryway.[2] Jon has the top floor of Hardin's Tower prepared for Val.[2]
Wun Wun kills Ser Patrek of King's Mountain, who was smitten with Val,[2] outside Hardin's Tower. When Jon comes to investigate the commotion, he is betrayed in the mutiny at Castle Black.[8]
Quotes
Jon: My sleeping cell is in Hardin's Tower.
Tyrion: That's the one with the broken battlement, no? Shattered stone in the yard below, and a lean to it like our noble king Robert after a long night's drinking? I thought all those buildings had been abandoned.[1]—Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister
Jon: Do you remember Hardin's Tower?
Val: The one that looks about to collapse?
Jon: It's looked that way for a hundred years. I've had the top floor made ready for you, my lady. You will have more room than in the King's Tower, though you may not be as comfortable. No one has ever called it Hardin's Palace.[2]
