Head Bellegere Otherys
Region Braavos
Title Black Pearl

House Otherys is a noble family of Braavos.[1] It is unknown if they are related to House Otharys.

History

An Otherys was elected to the office of Sealord of Braavos.[2]

Bellegere Otherys met Prince Aegon Targaryen when he was sent on a diplomatic mission to Braavos by his cousin, King Baelor I Targaryen, in 161 AC. The two started an affair that lasted a decade and produced three children: Bellenora, Narha, and Balerion Otherys.[1]

Bellenora became a courtesan and used her mother's nickname of "The Black Pearl of Braavos" for herself. Bellenora's descendants became courtesans as well, each eventually bearing the name "Black Pearl".[3]
