History

As the upper part of the Wensington coat of arms shows the stag of House Baratheon and House Durrandon, the house may have been founded by a Baratheon or Durrandon.

The Wensington banners are seen at the Wall during Stannis Baratheon's expedition to help the Night's Watch.[1] Thus, most likely the Wensingtons declared first for Renly Baratheon, then for Stannis, and some or all of the house remained loyal after the Battle of the Blackwater.
