A Feast for Crows

According to Ser Creighton Longbough, Illifer fought nobly in the Battle of the Blackwater.[1]

While resting at a brook, Illifer and Creighton meet Brienne of Tarth, and the hedge knights share their trout with her. After chastising her for bearing the arms of House Lothston, Illifer has Brienne swear by the Seven that she did not kill Renly Baratheon. Brienne cautiously sleeps at their camp, and Illifer prepares a breakfast of roast squirrel, acorn paste, and pickles.[1]

As the trio ride to Duskendale, Illifer refuses to join a band of sparrows heading for King's Landing. They come upon the merchant Hibald and escort him toward Duskendale. When Creighton and Illifer have no coin to stay at the Old Stone Bridge, Brienne offers to pay for a room for the two men, and buys them goat to eat. After the others have gone to bed and the inn is quiet, Brienne gathers her things and rides out alone for Duskendale, asking a silent pardon of the hedge knights.[1]
