Recent Events

A Feast for Crows

Aeron Greyjoy travels to Hammerhorn to speak about the death of his brother Balon, King of the Isles and the North, with Gorold Goodbrother, Lord of Hammerhorn. The Damphair demands that Murenmure not be present for their conversation, but Gorold insists that his maester remain. When Aeron decides to leave instead, Murenmure informs him that Euron Greyjoy has returned to the Iron Islands and claimed the Seastone Chair. Murenmure debates the rules of succession with Aeron, with the maester stating that Theon and Asha Greyjoy would be Balon's heirs as his children and Aeron considering Balon's other brothers Euron and Victarion instead.[1]

Quotes

Aeron: I must pray on this.

Murenmure: Pray all you wish. It does not change the law. Theon is the rightful heir, and Asha next.

Aeron: Silence! Too long have the ironborn listened to you chain-neck maesters prating of the green lands and their laws. It is time we listened to the sea again. It is time we listened to the voice of god.[1]
