Orphan-Maker is a Valyrian steel longsword which has been owned by House Roxton[1] and House Peake.[2]

Orphan-Maker is black in color.[3]
History
Ser Jon Roxton wielded the blade during the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons while fighting for King Aegon II Targaryen and the greens. During the Battle on the Honeywine in 130 AC, he used it to deliver a fatal wound to Lord Owen Costayne.[1] Jon granted knighthood on Titus Peake after the battle for valor in the field;[2] it is unknown if he used Orphan-Maker for the ceremony.
Later that year, Bold Jon used Orphan-Maker to split in two Lord Footly in the aftermath of the First Battle of Tumbleton, claiming Lady Sharis Footly as a "prize of war".[3] During Second Tumbleton, Jon used his blade to kill Ser Hugh Hammer. A dozen of Hard Hugh's men immediately attacked Jon, who was able to slay three of his assailants before being overcome and killed in turn.[4]
The sword came into the possession of Lord Unwin Peake, another green commander and the father of the late Ser Titus. When Unwin became Hand of the King during the regency of young King Aegon III Targaryen in 133 AC, he drew Orphan-Maker, declaring that unlike the previous Hand, the blind and crippled Ser Tyland Lannister, he could still wield a sword.[2]
The sword's current whereabouts are unknown.
