[edit]Having washed up on a rock in Blackwater Bay, Ser Davos Seaworth finally spots a ship passing by. Deciding he wants to live, Davos prays to the Mother, climbs his rock, and gets the attention of the unknown galley. The crew send a rowboat to the isle, as the spears of the merling king are dangerous to larger craft. Davos worries it may be one of Joffrey Baratheon's ships, but he realizes it is Lysene because of its striped hull. Davos calls out that he serves Stannis Baratheon.[2]
Shayala's Dance brings Davos back to Dragonstone, sailing across Blackwater Bay and through the Gullet. Khorane Sathmantes gives Davos use of his captain's cabin and his own clothes. The famished Davos cannot handle Khorane's rich food, however, and the Onion Knight is sick during the journey. Khorane's ship delivers Davos to the harbor of Dragonstone.[1]
