It is theorized Tywin Lannister is the Hand of the King "whose honor would not allow him to enter [a brothel] openly" so a tunnel was dug for him to enter Chataya brothel.

Supporting evidence

The following pieces of information can be seen as evidence:

• Tywin Lannister did get involved with whores, albeit in secret, as he did with Shae.
• The tunnel leads to a room that includes "a narrow window of leaded glass in a pattern of red and yellow diamonds", the colors of House Lannister.
• Over the entrance of the brothel, swings a lamp described as "a globe of gilded metal and scarlet glass", also the colors of House Lannister.
• One of the whores at Chataya's, Marei, is theorized to be Tywin's bastard daughter, on account of her features, demeanor and age.
