Donnel Hill is theorized to be a bastard son of Tywin Lannister.

Supporting evidence

• He himself claims to be a bastard of House Lannister.
• Tywin is known to have sex with prostitutes, as with Shae.
  • Additionally, Varys states that a Hand of the King ordered the construction of a secret passageway to Chataya's brothel, the same brothel that the yellow-haired and green-eyed prostitute Marei works at.
• He has physical and characteristic similarities to other Lannisters of Tywin's line.
  • He has yellow hair that he wears down in a tumble, a common trait of the Lannisters of Casterly Rock.
  • He has fat lips, a trait he shares with Joffrey Baratheon.
  • He makes easy japes, a trait he shares with Tyrion and Jaime Lannister.
• When asked if Tywin had any bastard offspring, George R. R. Martin did not deny this possibility, merely answering that "[Tywin]'d have you flogged for the mere suggestion."

Evidence against

• No character in the books ever mentions the existence of an acknowledged bastard son of Tywin.
• Given the above-quoted answer by George R. R. Martin, it is likely that Tywin would never acknowledge a bastard child as his own.
• It is possible that Donnel Hill is a son of another member of House Lannister.
