Walton Towers was a household knight of King Maegor I Targaryen, rising to be the short-lived Lord of Harrenhal and the founder of House Towers.[1]
History
After King Maegor I Targaryen wiped out House Harroway in 44 AC, he grew weary of the ambitious king's men entreating him for the lordship of Harrenhal. Instead, Maegor decreed that the strongest of his household knights would have Harrenhal. Ser Walton was one of twenty-three knights of the king's household who fought in the blood-soaked streets of Lord Harroway's Town for the prize. Though gravely wounded in the melee, Walton emerged victorious and was named Lord of Harrenhal, though its domains were much diminished as the Harroway holdings held separately from Harrenhal were granted to Lord Alton Butterwell and Lord Darnold Darry. Walton did not live long enough to enjoy his lordship, as he died within a fortnight from the wounds he had taken in gaining his prize, and Harrenhal subsequently passed to Walton's eldest son, Jordan Towers.[1][2]
House Towers was the fourth house to rule Harrenhal, but Walton's line faltered after only two generations and died with his grandson in 61 AC.[3]
