A Dance with Dragons
Quentyn travels to Essos on a mission to marry Daenerys Targaryen, Queen of Meereen. While traveling to Volantis disguised as merchants, their ship, the Meadowlark, is attacked by corsairs off the coast of the Disputed Lands and Willam and Cletus are among those killed.[1]
Having been rejected by Daenerys, Quentyn mentions Willam and Cletus while trying to convince Ser Gerris Drinkwater and Ser Archibald Yronwood to aid him in claiming one of Daenerys's dragons after the queen has disappeared from Meereen. Gerris responds that doing so will not bring their fallen friends back.[2]
