The yielding of Rosby ocurred quite early in Aegon's Conquest, shortly after the landing of the Conqueror. Following the construction of the Aegonfort, Aegon I dispatched his wives Rhaenys and Visenya to secure the submission of nearby castles.[1]
Rosby, the seat of House Rosby, submitted to Rhaenys, who approached the castle atop Meraxes, submitted without a fight.
