Robb Stark names Joseth as the master of horse at Winterfell while Hullen is away with Lord Eddard Stark in King's Landing.[2]
After Tyrion Lannister's visit to Winterfell, Joseth trains Dancer to Tyrion's specification so that the crippled Bran Stark can have the ability to ride.[2]
A Clash of Kings
Bran sends Joseth a huge lobster during the harvest feast for seeing to Dancer's training. Later in the evening, Bran sees Joseth having sex with an unknown woman in the dim-lit gallery outside the Great Hall.[5]
When Bran and Rickon Stark disappear after the capture of Winterfell by ironborn, Joseth is forced to join Theon Greyjoy's search party.[4]
A Storm of Swords
Joseth's fate following the sack and burning of Winterfell by Ramsay Snow is unknown. However, as Ramsay takes the women and children of Winterfell back to the Dreadfort,[6] it is likely Joseth died during the sack.
