Lord Dayne was the Lord of Starfall and the head of House Dayne during the early reign of King Robert I Baratheon.[3][1][N 1]
History
At some point during Robert I Baratheon's early reign,[N 2] Lord Dayne died and was succeeded by his young son, Edric Dayne.[3]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Edric Dayne mentions to Arya Stark that Lord Dayne was the elder brother of Ashara and Allyria Dayne, as well as Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning.[3]

- ↑ In A Storm of Swords, Edric does not identify his late father as a Lord. However, he is referred to as such in the A World of Ice and Fire app, which is considered a semi-canon source.
- ↑ Usually it is the head of the House that makes the marriage pacts for the members of his family. Therefore Lord Dayne was presumably the person who arranged for his sister, Allyria Dayne, to marry Beric Dondarrion and for his son, Edric, to be fostered at Blackhaven.
