A cabin boy[1], or ship's boy,[2][3] is a low-ranking young male assistant on a ship.
History
[edit]In late 129 AC, the two youngest sons of Rhaenyra Targaryen, Aegon and Viserys, were sent to Pentos aboard the Gay Abandon, which was captured by forces allied with the greens and Aegon II Targaryen. Aegon flew away atop his dragon, Stormcloud, but Viserys had only a dragon egg, so he hid it and disguised himself as a common ship's boy, but his identity was revealed by one of the crew.[2]
Ser Davos Seaworth served as a cabin boy aboard Cobblecat, a trading galley captained by Roro Uhoris.[1]
