Mossador is a Naathi member of the Unsullied. His living siblings include Marselen and Missandei.
Character
Mossador is close to his sister, Missandei. He knows how to catch fish with his hands.[1]
History
When they were young, Mossador taught his sister Missandei how to climb trees on Naath. Missandei once found him sleeping in their garden with butterflies crawling on him.[1]
Missandei and her three brothers, including Marselen and Mossador, were captured by raiders from the Basilisk Isles and sold into slavery in Astapor. Missandei was trained as a scribe, but Mossador and his two brothers were gelded and trained by the Good Masters to be Unsullied.[2] Marselen and Mossador became Unsullied,[1] and the third brother died at some point.[3]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Daenerys Targaryen purchases Unsullied from the Good Masters of Astapor. After freeing the soldiers, she turns them against the slavers with the fall of Astapor.[2] Daenerys also takes into her service Missandei, Mossador's sister, as a scribe and handmaid.[2]
A Dance with Dragons
As Daenerys told the Unsullied to abolish the practice of choosing a new name every day,[4] Mossador chose to go back to his birth name.
Grey Worm informs Daenerys that Mossador, while on patrol with another Unsullied named Duran, was ambushed and killed. Both were crushed by falling stones beneath the river wall of the Skahazadhan, dropped on them by the Sons of the Harpy. When Missandei is told, she cries and grieves for her brother.[1]
Quotes
Missandei: He was a good brother.
Daenerys: Tell me of him.
Daenerys: As he loved you.[1]
Missandei: He taught me how to climb a tree when we were little. He could catch fish with his hands. Once I found him sleeping in our garden with a hundred butterflies crawling over him. He looked so beautiful that morning, this one … I mean, I loved him.
