Talk: House Velaryon
Rennifer Longwaters' tale of the Targaryen-Velaryon bastards sounds to me like the creation of a cadet branch. Should the Longwaterses have their own page? --Ser_Aeron_Connel 23:57, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
Dance of the Dragons family tree
Would it be possible to create a historical family tree for the TP&TQ era? It would be complex, with the siblings Laena and Laenor's spouses (themselves uncle and niece) marrying each other after they died
- I made this template a few weeks back, Laenor and Laena are in there with their patents. The tree should also be on the pages off all those in the tree. You can place this template there. Or, if you think it better, I can make one featuring only the Velaryons. That might be best, I think.
The Velaryon heraldry is described as "a silver seahorse on sea green". The image that has been on here for a while is not "sea green", but "azure", which is a blue color without green in it. This heraldry needs to be updated.--The Dragon Demands 22:25, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
Are we sure the heraldic charge og House Velaryon is that of an actual seahorse, and not of the mythological beast commonly called a seahorse in heraldry? Cf. here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocampus_(mythology)#Medieval,_Renaissance,_and_Modern
