The Song of the Seven
"The Song of the Seven" is a lullaby about the Faith of the Seven. It is made up of seven verses, one for each of the aspects of the god of the Seven, with the exception of the Stranger.

The Father's face is stern and strong,
he sits and judges right from wrong.
He weighs our lives, the short and long,

The Mother gives the gift of life,
and watches over every wife.
Her gentle smile ends all strife,
and she loves her little children.
The Warrior stands before the foe,

and sees our fates as they unfold.
She lifts her lamp of shining gold

The Maiden dances through the sky,
she lives in every lover's sigh.
Her smiles teach the birds to fly,
and gives dreams to little children.

History
The septon at Horn Hill sang "The Song of the Seven" to Samwell Tarly and his sisters when they were young to help them sleep. When Samwell and his mother Melessa sang the song to to the infant Dickon, however, Lord Randyll Tarly reprimanded his wife and heir, as he believed that singing had made Sam weak and would do the same to Dickon.[1]

Samwell Tarly sings the song to Gilly and her child at Whitetree to help the babe sleep.[1]
