Master armorer is a title held by a armorer who owns a armory. He has authority over common armorers and oversees the training of apprentices.[1]

History
[edit]Tobho Mott is a Qohorik master armorer who owns a shop at the top of the Street of Steel in King's Landing.[1] He is one of the few armorers who can work Valyrian steel,[3] taking Gendry, one of King Robert I Baratheon's unacknowledged bastards, as an apprentice after being paid double the customary fee by a stout brown-bearded man with a hooded cloak.[1]
Lords Jon Arryn and Stannis Baratheon called upon Tobho and Gendry during their investigation into Robert's children.[1]

Salloreon, a master armorer, and Ironbelly, a master smith, are among the smiths of King's Landing approached by Tyrion Lannister to build his monstrous steel chain.[5] The armorer later joins the Antler Men, a group who conspire to aid Stannis Baratheon in taking King's Landing from King Joffrey I Baratheon, so Tyrion has them arrested,[6] and then has them flung over the walls of King's Landing by the three great trebuchets called the Three Whores during the Battle of the Blackwater.[7]
