Jacks is a member of the household guard of Lord Eddard Stark at Winterfell.[1]
In the television adaptation Game of Thrones, Jacks is portrayed by Paul Caddell.
Recent Events

[edit]Jacks accompanies Lord Eddard Stark to King's Landing when Eddard is named Hand of the King.[2]
Varly and Jacks make up the escort for Eddard when he visits the armorer Tobho Mott and discovers Gendry, one of King Robert I Baratheon's bastard children.[3]
A Clash of Kings
[edit]Jacks, having presumably been imprisoned during the arrest of Eddard Stark, is presumably sent with Ser Cleos Frey when the envoy returns to Riverrun with Tyrion Lannister's terms and Eddard's bones.[4]
Jacks is under the command of Hallis Mollen.[5] When Catelyn Stark's party returns to Riverrun from Storm's End, she orders Hallis and a small honor guard to escort the silent sisters who are to bring the bones of Lord Eddard back to Winterfell.[6] Unbeknownst to Catelyn, however, ironmen led by Victarion Greyjoy have already moved to take Moat Cailin, and Theon Greyjoy is on his way to take Winterfell as well.[7][8]
A Storm of Swords
[edit]Hal continues north toward Winterfell with Jacks, Quent, and Shadd.[9]
A Feast for Crows
[edit]Hallis and his party continue their journey.[10]
A Dance with Dragons
[edit]At Winterfell, Barbrey Dustin, Lady of Barrowton, tells Theon Greyjoy that should Ned Stark's bones emerge from the Neck, the escorts will be prevented from going north of Barrowton.[11]
