Tyrosh is a Free City on the easternmost Stepstone, founded as a Valyrian military outpost controlling routes through the archipelago. Its merchants built the city’s wealth around a vivid dye made from local sea snails, and trade remained central to Tyroshi identity. As a city-state of Essos, Tyrosh combines fortified origins, competing interests, and the cosmopolitan culture of the Free Cities.
