Astapori is a form of bastard Valyrian spoken in the city of Astapor. Like the mongrel Ghiscari of the other Slaver Cities, the tongue of Astapor is a form of High Valyrian influenced by Old Ghiscari.[1] The dialect of Astapor is close enough to that of Yunkai to be mutually intelligible.[2]

Quotes

Kraznys's High Valyrian was twisted and thickened by the characteristic growl of Ghis, and flavored here and there with words of slaver argot.[1]

—thoughts of Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys: Missandei, what language will these Yunkai'i speak, Valyrian?
Missandei: Yes, Your Grace. A different dialect than Astapor's, yet close enough to understand.[2]
