House Hardyng is a noble house from the Vale of Arryn. They blazon their arms with a field of red and white diamonds.[1][2]

House Hardyng may be a knightly house sworn to House Waynwood since the father of Harrold Hardyng is described as "a landed knight sworn to the Waynwoods" by Petyr Baelish.[3] However, we do not know if Harrold's father was the head of the main branch of the house or simply the head of a junior branch sworn to the Waynwoods.

Ser Humfrey Hardyng participated in the tourney at Ashford Meadow in 209 AC, beginning the tourney as one of the champions. He remained a champion, even after Prince Aerion Targaryen killed his horse. Humfrey took Ser Duncan the Tall's side in the trial of seven. He was severely injured and later died of his wounds.[2]
