Lord Hightower was the Lord of the Hightower and head of House Hightower during the late reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen.
In the television adaptation House of the Dragon, he is named Hobert Hightower and portrayed by Steffan Rhodri.
Early in the reign of King Viserys I, Lord Hightower received a letter from his younger brother, Ser Otto Hightower. In this letter, the Hand of the King shared his fear about what kind of monarch Prince Daemon Targaryen would be if he ever ascended to the Iron Throne:
On no account can Prince Daemon be allowed to ascend to the Iron Throne.[...] He would be a second Maegor the Cruel, or worse.[...] Better the Realm’s Delight than Lord Flea Bottom.
After his death, Lord Hightower was succeeded by his son, Ormund Hightower, as Lord of the Hightower.
