White gold
White gold is an alloy made of gold with a white metal, usually nickel or silver,[1] similar to electrum, a greenish-yellow natural alloy made of gold and silver.

The hair of Aemon Targaryen, son of King Jaehaerys I, was a rare color, rare even in Old Valyria: it was pale, and shone like white gold.[2]
Aemon Targaryen, son of Viserys II, became known as the Dragonknight because the crest on his helm was a three-headed dragon of House Targaryen wrought in white gold.[3]

Oberyn Martell's round steel shield displays the Martell sun-and-spear in red gold, yellow gold, white gold, and copper.[5][6]
A Tyroshi presents Cersei with an elaborate chest, made of cedar, inlaid with ivory in a pattern of vines and flowers, with hinges and clasps of white gold, which contained the head of a dwarf.[7]
Behind the scenes
In early drafts of A Clash of Kings and A Feast for Crows, additional metals used to forge the chains of the maesters are mentioned, including dark bronze, bright/white bronze, white gold, niello, and "the queer milky metal that the Citadel called starfall silver". Like the Valyrian steel, starfall silver (or "starsilver") is associated to the study of the higher mysteries.[8]
