The High Septon was High Septon of the Faith of the Seven during the reign of King Aegon V Targaryen.^[1]

In 239 AC, the High Septon along with the Grand Maester and the small council insisted King Aegon force his son and heir, Prince Duncan, to choose between the Iron Throne and the woman he loved, Jenny of Oldstones. Duncan chose Jenny and abdicated as Prince of Dragonstone in favor of his brother Jaehaerys.^[1]
