Ronnal Baratheon was a knight from House Baratheon and a younger brother of Lord Rogar Baratheon of Storm's End.[1]

History

When Lord Rogar Baratheon was dismissed as Hand of the King, he sent his brother Ronnal to retrieve Princess Aerea Targaryen from her quarters, but the girl had been spirited away on the orders of Alyssa Velaryon, the Queen Regent. Thereafter Lord Rogar and his brothers returned to Storm's End.[1]

When Rogar was summoned to King's Landing by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen in 50 AC, Ronnal and his brother Ser Garon urged Rogar to defy the summons.[4]

The Shivers hit Westeros during the winter of 5960 AC, Ronnal, his wife, his sons, as well as Garon's wife all perished of the disease at Storm's End.[3] In the aftermath of the winter, Lord Rogar came to King's Landing with Ronnal's two surviving daughters and his own daughter, Jocelyn, to ask King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne to foster the three Baratheon girls at court. The royal couple accepted.[3]

Notes:
  1. Parentage unproven, but widely accepted as fact by some maesters, as well as members of House Targaryen and House Baratheon itself.
  2. Uncertain, may be Davos Baratheon.
  3. The canon status of the character is unclear. See: Westeros.org: Family trees and successions – Comment by Ran (December 20, 2018).
