Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Being only a baby, Erena is too young to make the journey to Winterfell. Although Erena's mother Sybelle Glover rules Deepwood Motte while her husband is away, she sends her steward to Winterfell to attend the harvest feast in her place because she was loathe to leave her young children. Bran Stark surmises the children are an excuse and it is the steward who actually rules.[3] Erena is captured, along with her brother, Gawen, and mother, Sybelle, during the taking of Deepwood Motte by ironborn led by Asha Greyjoy.[4]
A Storm of Swords
The Glovers are held captive at Deepwood Motte by Asha.[5]
A Feast for Crows
The Glovers are taken to Ten Towers in the Iron Islands by Asha. Along the way they stop at the Stony Shore to search for a wet nurse for Erena; instead they find a goat.[6]
A Dance with Dragons
While Asha takes Sybelle back to Deepwood Motte, Erena and her brother are left captive at Ten Towers under the care of Gwynesse Harlaw. Asha fears Erena too unhealthy for a second sea voyage.[7]
Quotes
Asha: Lady Glover and the children should not want for wood nor warmth. Put them in some tower, not the dungeons. The babe is sick.
Three-Tooth: Babes are often sick. Most die, and folks are sorry. I shall ask my lord where to put these wolf folk.
Asha: You will do as I say. And if this babe dies, no one will be sorrier than you.[6]—Asha Greyjoy and Three-Tooth
