Grimtongue is one of the crew on Asha Greyjoy's ship Black Wind.

Recent Events

[edit]Along with the rest of Asha Greyjoy's supporters, Grimtongue sails to Deepwood Motte as Asha contemplates her next move after the kingsmoot on Old Wyk.[1]
Five northmen are caught trying to infiltrate Deepwood, with one, a Flint, pinned to the ground by Grimtongue's spear. Asha's ironborn flee toward the Bay of Ice when Deepwood comes under attack. When Rolfe the Dwarf is killed by northmen during the night, Grimtongue remarks about his beheading. Grimtongue counts each northmen he slays during the fight by Deepwood Motte, reaching at least nine.[1] Grimtongue is captured along with Asha, Tris Botley, and several other ironborn by Stannis Baratheon.[2]
Grimtongue is later freed and ransomed along with the other ironborn by Tycho Nestoris, who needs an escort to get him to Stannis during the king's march on Winterfell.[3]
