House Coldwater of Coldwater Burn is a noble house from Coldwater Burn in the Vale of Arryn. They are sworn to the Royces of Runestone.[1]

According to semi-canon sources they blazon their arms with a blue pall with white borders on red.[3] Their words do not appear in the books.

History

The Coldwaters are of First Men origin. During the coming of the Andals to the Vale, they allied with King Robar II Royce against the invading Andals. Robar's forces were defeated in the Battle of the Seven Stars, however, and the Coldwaters submitted to Artys I Arryn, the new King of Mountain and Vale.[2]

When a war of succession ensued in the Vale upon the death of Lady Jeyne Arryn, House Coldwater supported her cousin, Ser Arnold Arryn, as heir to the Eyrie.[4]
