House Templeton of Ninestars is a house from the Vale sworn to the Arryns. Although they are a knightly house, they are very powerful and for their strength and influence they are comparable to many lords.
Their arms are nine stars, one of 7 points and eight of 8 points, upon a gold saltire on black. Their motto does not appear in the books.

The only known Templeton during the timespan of the events described on A Song of Ice and Fire is:

- At the Battle of the Redgrass Field, the Knight of Ninestars was part of the loyalist army commanded by Lord Arryn, and was slain by Daemon Blackfyre himself.

- When discussing Robb's succesion, Catelyn recalls that Eddard Stark's grandfather had a sister who married Lord Raymar Royce and had three daughters, one of them she vaguely remembers to be a Templeton.
- The Templetons gave support to Yohn Royce when preassuring Lady Lysa to enter to the war of the five kings on the behalf of Robb Stark.
- Ser Symond Templeton was on of the Lords Declarant who tried to depose Littlefinger
- When in the Eyre with the other Lords Declarant, he is described as looking like and elegant bird of prey, with sharp pointed black beard, beaked noise and icy blue eyes. He is dressed with the arms of his house.
- Littlefinger considers that Symond Templeton is not a threat to him in the long term, since he can befriend him.
