Braavosi is a language spoken in the Free City of Braavos. Like the languages of all Free Cities, the tongue of Braavos is a form of bastard Valyrian.[1][2][3]
Language
[edit]Braavosi retains some words and phrases from High Valyrian in its pure form, including valar morghulis (all men must die) and valar dohaeris (all men must serve).[4]

Quotes
[edit]The Braavosi were a people who were no people: scores of races, a hundred tongues, and hundreds of gods. All they had in common was the Valyrian that formed the common trade language of Essos—and the fact that they were now free where once they had been slaves.[10]
