Princess Daella Targaryen was the eldest daughter and fourth child of King Maekar I Targaryen and his wife Dyanna Dayne.^[2]

History

Born in 199 AC,^[1] Daella was the eldest daughter of Prince Maekar Targaryen and his wife, Lady Dyanna Dayne. She had three older brothers, Daeron, Aerion, and Aemon, one younger brother, Aegon, and one younger sister, Rhae.^[2]

Once, in their youth, Daella's sister Rhae gave a love potion to their youngest brother, Aegon, so he would marry Rhae, instead of Daella.^[3] Daella may have been betrothed to her youngest brother, Prince Aegon Targaryen.^{[N 1]} Like most of their siblings, Daella called Aegon "Egg," the nickname coined by Aemon.^[4]

Later in life, Daella had children.^[5]

A Feast for Crows

While on his deathbed on a voyage from Braavos to Oldtown, Maester Aemon wonders if, when he dies, he will go to a heaven where he will hear his sisters Daella and Rhae singing to their children.^[5]

Theories

Readers have theorized that Daella may have married into House Tarth, per The World of Ice & Fire, which states the house boasts of recent ties to House Targaryen.^[6] See Brienne of Tarth/Theories.
