The Raven's Teeth were the private guards of Lord Brynden Rivers.[1] The longbowmen were called Raven's Teeth due to Brynden's nickname, Bloodraven, and they wielded weirwood bows.[2]

History

Lord Brynden Rivers and his Raven's Teeth fought on the side of the loyalists during the First Blackfyre Rebellion. They gained the Weeping Ridge during the Battle of the Redgrass Field and rained arrows down upon the rebel forces, breaking their attack. It was their arrows that slew Daemon Blackfyre and his sons. The company came under attack when Aegor Rivers rallied the disheartened rebels and led a charge against them, taking Bloodraven's eye in the process.[3]

Brynden cut a striking figure when he rode with fifty Raven's Teeth along the Street of Steel in King's Landing in 205 AC. Bloodraven garrisoned the Red Keep with Raven's Teeth during the reign of King Aerys I Targaryen.[3]

Three hundred Raven's Teeth were among the gathered forces of Bloodraven when he marched to quash the Second Blackfyre Rebellion at Whitewalls.[2]

When Brynden was sent to the Night's Watch by King Aegon V Targaryen, many of the Raven's Teeth choose to take the black as well.[4]
